This is the Year 1, 2 & 3 learning community at South Hornby School.
This will be your go-to place for news, learning and happenings in Te Māuru-e-taki-nei.
We would love to see your positive comments, thoughts and ideas about our posts.
Hi Mrs Matthews We think yours are soooooo adorable. They are very little. a few years ago we got to feed calves when they were only a few weeks old it was very exciting. We think you could name the triplets Alivin Simon and Theodore like the Chipmunks!!!!!!!
Hi Brooklyn and Aleigha, yes those lambs are all so little, most of them are under a week old.
Feeding calves sounds fun, did you have to hold huge big bottles for them? I love it how their tails swing as they feed, I also love their big brown eyes. Did any try to suck your fingers?
I think Alvin, Simon and Theodore are great names! Its done, they have names at last, thank you!
yep we are expecting more still. We had another set of twins born yesterday, both cute and doing well. Two more ewes left to lamb. I'll keep you posted :)
Please structure your comments as follows: Positive - Something they have done well. Thoughtful - A sentence to let us know you actually read/watched or listened to what they had to say. Helpful - Give some ideas for next time or Ask a question you want to know more about.
We had so much fun looking at pictures and guessing who they could be...... Thank you to all that send photos in and joined in our hangout. Our baby photos are below!
Mrs Bayley and Miss Hollings' Homerooms went to Te Pā o Moki marae today!! We had such a blast! We went on a bus. We were welcomed onto the marae. We sung Waiatas. We ate kai and said our Mihimihi. We learnt about our Te Manu Tukutuku -South Hornby Schools' cultural narrative (story). We had so much fun! A day full of exploring, listening and understanding new learning. Oh and we got to see and touch (if we wanted to) short and long fin tuna (eels)!! Oh such fun! Not to mention, our very own principal showed us how to use harakeke to make Ika (fish) . How lucky are we!
