Wow Words!

 In Miss Hollings' writing class, we have been learning to use wow words. Wow words are words that can be used to describe things. They make our writing more interesting to read. Here are some of our sentences about the eagle.

    Such fabulously fantastic wow words! You all came up with brilliant ones, I particularly like how you descired the eagle as beautiful, snowy white, freezing cold and with a scary face. What imaginative budding young writers you all are.

 Today in our Hangout, we listened to a story about the greatest hugs. We set a challenge for our homerooms to write a story about their greatest hugs  and send them into their homeroom teachers. We are looking forward to reading these! I think there might even be a few 'thank you tickets' up for grabs for those people choosing a wonderful attitude towards their home learning! We then used our active listening ears and did a step-by-step drawing.  Here are some of our masterpieces! Tomorrow we are doing our 'guess the baby' challenge - see you all again then!
