Today we received our 2 free books that we chose from the Duffy magazine. 

We had the opportunity to read with our big buddies from Pūnui-o-toka.

We loved spending time being read to, reading with and reading to our big buddies!

Oh such fun!!

    Thanks for the free books.
    Hugo was excited to get 2 new books of his choice for free. I asked him if we need to return those after some days and he told me that those are his books, he can keep forever.

    Two books to keep forever, what a wonderful gift. So many advertures and stories to read about, and new worlds to come alive. I bet Punui-o-toka loved spending time readying your own books with you. I can see some Bad Guys Books, Tom Gates books and some cute books about puppies. So much reading fun to be had. Have you read both your books yet?

 Today in our Hangout, we listened to a story about the greatest hugs. We set a challenge for our homerooms to write a story about their greatest hugs  and send them into their homeroom teachers. We are looking forward to reading these! I think there might even be a few 'thank you tickets' up for grabs for those people choosing a wonderful attitude towards their home learning! We then used our active listening ears and did a step-by-step drawing.  Here are some of our masterpieces! Tomorrow we are doing our 'guess the baby' challenge - see you all again then!
