Miss Hollings' Phonics Champions

 This week we have been learning the digraph 'qu'. 

Bo - "If you see a q, it will almost always be with a u because they are best friends!"

Taylah - "We have been working hard to get our sounds right!"

Mitchell - "We have been learning about words that have digraphs. Digraphs are two letters that work together as friends."

Hayley - "We have been learning key words that have digraphs."

Matthew and Lacey - "Look at the words and photos of us!"

 Today in our Hangout, we listened to a story about the greatest hugs. We set a challenge for our homerooms to write a story about their greatest hugs  and send them into their homeroom teachers. We are looking forward to reading these! I think there might even be a few 'thank you tickets' up for grabs for those people choosing a wonderful attitude towards their home learning! We then used our active listening ears and did a step-by-step drawing.  Here are some of our masterpieces! Tomorrow we are doing our 'guess the baby' challenge - see you all again then!
