Library Bus Visit

We are so lucky that every second Wednesday the Christchurch City Libraries Bus comes to visit us at South Hornby School. Today Miss Hollings' reading class got to go over and take a look at the wonderful books they have on offer.

    Hugo loves reading the books from CCC library.
    The easy accessibility of the mobile library is a great benefit for kids to issue books of their choice.

    Wow what a cool thing to happen at South Hornby. I just love being able to browse a range of books. It looks like you are all enjoying reading in the sunshine. Where their any authors that were class favourites?

 Today in our Hangout, we listened to a story about the greatest hugs. We set a challenge for our homerooms to write a story about their greatest hugs  and send them into their homeroom teachers. We are looking forward to reading these! I think there might even be a few 'thank you tickets' up for grabs for those people choosing a wonderful attitude towards their home learning! We then used our active listening ears and did a step-by-step drawing.  Here are some of our masterpieces! Tomorrow we are doing our 'guess the baby' challenge - see you all again then!
