2021 Te Māuru-e-taki-nei

 Today was our first day of swimming as a hub! Please remember to bring along your togs and a towel each day from now on. It is also a good idea to make sure ALL of your clothes are named as we have already had a bunch of lost property. 

Today during action stations, many of us were able to get creative, and build some fantastic creations and produce some amazing artwork. Check out some of the activities we were able to choose from! Special shoutout to Zane for being there to help set up the dye and paint stations, then staying behind to clean up too. You are a star, Zane!!

 This week Miss Hollings' Ruru reading group have been reading all about working dogs. We are learning to find the key information from texts. We love sharing these facts with our classmates! Here are some of our wonderful posters :) 

 Today we were lucky enough to go on a class trip to the Antarctic Centre to learn all about the endangered animals in Antarctica. We learnt about climate change, and the effect our actions are having on the land and native life in Antarctica. We got to see some penguins and play in a mock snow storm. Take a look at what we got up to!
