2021 Te Māuru-e-taki-nei

At the beginning of this term we did fast words to see how many words we knew. We tried it again today at the end of the term. Between us, we now know over 400 words!!! We wanted to share our hard work with you all. Here is what we had to say: These kids are impressive! - Aria These kids know tonnes of words! - Taylah We know our fast words! - Jade We are very very very good at making words. - Angel We are very good at remembering how to write very big words! - Bo 

Today we were visited by the Army Band.  This was such a great experience for all!   We listened to many songs and had a boogie and lots of singing! Such a great afternoon! 

  Such a fun day! Oh the places you go!!  Look at us in our 'fancy dress up' gear from books to movies!! We look fabulous!                                                                                                       

 This week at Te Manu Tukutuku we have been celebrating book week. Each day we have been lucky enough to have some guest teachers come in and read to us. We also got to design our own book covers and to take part in a book swap. Today we got to dress up as our favourite book characters - check us out!

We have been listening to many different stories this week read by different teachers. We love reading. We love listening to different teachers read!  As Dr Seuss said: "The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go."
